I have spent as much time or more (it’s close) with an ongoing threesome type relationship as in a 1+1 type thing and it was very natural and normal in every way.
Also because of being of the nonmonogamy sort I have been involved in many a situation involving 4 or more and that has most often been very natural.
The reason it is “most often” rather than always is because social programing has really messed some people up. They have the desire, the urge… yet can’t break free of jealousy or guilt.
Interesting point you made there. Especially for someone like me who wants to be as progressive as a woman as possible but doesn’t particularly enjoy sex and might even have a severe case of vaginismus. I often get the idea from feminist sex positive bloggers that I’m not :[
Alexis,
Ahh exactly. And on a side-note, have you looked into the asexual movement at all? I think they are really great. a lot of people who have historically felt “not very sexual” finally feel like they get answers when they discover asexuality.org
I also think sex positive feminists could learn alot from the way the asexual community presents themselves, because they still manage to be sex positive without being sexual or glamorizing sex.
