It all started Easter weekend. I was visiting NYC and found myself on some magical first dates (afternoon tea with Gala Darling, scintillating conversation Cindy Gallop) when it hit me, love at first sight–with Brooklyn.
We decided to jump–and move to New York. Moving in one month is kinda like taking to much extacy. You feel at once wonderful, excited, panicked and shaky. And like you wanna hug everyone. The last three weeks have been about saying goodbye to Chicago :_( and strangers from Craigslist silently judging my backed-up sink and trying to buy the furniture I’m not selling.
The question that keeps being posed is why? I recently got a piece of advice about happiness in life. What is boils down to is this: Do the things that you love doing. Always make it a goal to face your fears and challenge yourself to find more things you love–then do them. What have you done recently in following what you love?

There are 7 days left before I drive across the country in a U-haul. It’s been intense trying to keep up with packing, blogging, and my job as freelance writer. But speaking of, here are some recent stories I wrote that you may have missed:
I dug up 10 Super Creepy Tampon Ads for The Frisky
New additions to my Series: The Secret Life of Johns: Exploring Violence in Sex Work
Time Out Chicago sent me to a local event called “Sexcon”. Here is what it was like. Spot me in the photos? And here are things I overheard.
A piece of LGBTQ History: The Last Gay XXX Theater in America
Fighting the Sex Toy double standard: Famous Dudes who <3 Their Sex Toys

Also, I am accepting reader questions once again. If you are stuck in a sticky love-sex-relationship-self-discovery thang, e-mail me at rachelrabbitwhite @ gmail and I’ll try to help you get sorted.
Wish me luck with the drive to NYC? Fingers crossed that cat will wear the little leash and not jump out the window? Let me know if you are an excited New Yorker with wisdom to give. (!!!)
